Get to Know Scott and Kaitlin
The idea of Kozlak & Peretto Family Dentistry started back in 2008 when Scott and Kaitlin met as first and second year dental students at the UCONN School of Dental Medicine. They quickly bonded over a shared Italian upbringing, their love of the outdoors, dogs, and UCONN basketball. A lot has changed since then - a few more UCONN championships, thousands of miles of local trails explored, and the addition of some canine family members.
About Our Practice
One thing that hasn’t changed is their desire to own a family practice based on a foundation of quality, competence, and honest care. They have seen the emphasis in the dental field move away from quality and towards increasing volume and the growth of corporate owned practices driven by production goals instead of patient care. Their patient-centric approach to dental care ensures that treatment will be based on a patient’s needs and goals, not those of insurance companies, management teams, or investors.
Together, Drs. Kozlak and Peretto bring over 25 years of combined experience in the dental field, as well as connections to a network of some of the best specialists in Connecticut. Their treatment philosophy, experiences, and connections ensures that all of their patients are benefiting from the same high quality care that their own families receive.
About Us
Dr. Kaitlin Peretto grew up in Manchester, CT. After graduating from the University of Connecticut with dual degrees in Molecular and Cellular Biology and Diagnostic Genetic Sciences, she enrolled at the UCONN School of Dental Medicine where she earned a Doctor of Dental Medicine degree. Dr. Peretto furthered her clinical training at the UCONN Health Center by completing an Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency. Before Kozlak & Peretto Family Dentistry she was a partner at a large group practice in Central Connecticut. She is a member of the American Dental Association, Connecticut State Dental Association, the Litchfield County Dental Society, as well as the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry.
Dr. Scott Kozlak was born and raised in Torrington, CT. After graduating from the University of Connecticut with a degree in Biological Sciences, he enrolled at the UCONN School of Dental Medicine where he earned a Doctor of Dental Medicine degree. Dr. Kozlak also completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency at the UCONN Health center to further his clinical skills. He has a range of professional experience, including public health dentistry, private practice, and practicing within a large multi-speciality organization. He is a member of the American Dental Association, Connecticut State Dental Association, and the Litchfield County Dental Society.
Outside of the Office
Kaitlin and Scott live in Canton where they enjoy cooking, gardening, and traveling in their free time. An avid runner, Kaitlin has completed over 20 half, full and ultra marathons. They are often found with their German Shorthaired Pointers on the trails of Northwest Connecticut training for her next race.
